THIRD SPACE: Local Collabs
Collaboration in the creation, design and realization of a work is essential in the field of the arts since its inception. Although a work arises from the mental and creative exercise of an artist, it is also the result of the collaboration between diverse knowledge and people who participate in its execution. Their contributions, although invisible, become relevant at the moment of the exhibition.
With the purpose of deepening and actively participating in a multiplicity of collaborations, the 2024 Plural program will be focused on highlighting the people and processes that, thanks to their interest and contribution to the concerns of cultural agents, make our artistic ecosystem possible. To begin this objective, we present the sixth edition of Third Space: Local Collabs.
In this edition of Third Space, we seek to bring together artists with diverse backgrounds and local producers specialized in materials such as metal, cardboard, concrete, fabric and wood. Through meetings and conversations, they are expected to develop two pieces in an enriching exchange of ideas and knowledge.
The results will be presented through an exhibition at Plural, an immersive exhibition in the five selected local production workshops and a series of conversations and meetings.
