2025 – Migrations

Birds migrate with the cold, obeying a primitive GPS written in their DNA. Seeds travel attached to the legs of those same birds or camouflaged in the sole of an inattentive tourist. Objects migrate on ships, on trains, in anonymous containers that cross oceans. All with the finesse of a peddler offering “authentic” Mayan replicas made in Taiwan. Brands, like colonizers without passports, impose their advertising in every corner of the world: reggaeton in Tokyo, Mexican soap operas in Russia, a Che Guevara printed on T-shirts. Thus, identity is dismantled and reassembled with each new crossing. Culture is an infinite remix. Do we migrate or are we migrated?
