Escuela de mediación: Tejer el mapa (weaving the map)
The growing interest in the widespread development of pedagogical experiences within the field of artistic and cultural production has driven the establishment of creative processes, laboratories, and working methodologies that invite agents in the cultural field to actively engage in experiences of mediation and knowledge articulation. This more conscious approach to creation itself represents a pedagogical shift that also opens possibilities for transforming institutions, audiences, artists, and communities, as well as redefining ways of approaching the social space. These transformations are achieved through bridge-building scenarios for dialogue and interaction that facilitate the democratization of culture and knowledge in multiple directions, thus generating a different perspective on the role of art as an active experience that transforms and transcends the margins of institutions and markets.
The School of Mediation: Weaving the Map was an initiative that digs into a various lines of exploration proposed by alternative pedagogies, understanding the act of learning as experiences of disruption, creativity, and solidarity. In this sense, the role of a School of Mediation was framed within the parameters of a laboratory of experiences that do not necessarily correspond to creation associated with visual arts processes; instead, creation here is understood as mechanisms in constant movement around fields of chances and possibilities, aiming to build pathways and potential calls for action within the community space.
The pedagogy of a School of Mediation is a commitment to designing experiences that are woven into the fabric of the social realm, understanding this fabric as the stage for the creation of opportunities.
